Which artwork was most successful?
My most successful artwork in my opinion would have to be our very first art project, Man Vs Machine. I feel as if this one was my most successful artwork because I used all the time that Mrs Barnett gave us in class to work and improve my artwork. It also simply came out the best, conveyed the proper message relating to the theme that we were given, and I worked the hardest on it. I continuously went back after saying i was finished to add little details that made the faces look more realistic and life-like.

One project that made you overcome the most obstacles.
Our recent home themed project gave me the problems. I couldn't think of anything to draw that wasn't basic/outside of the box. I pondered for ample hours about what I could draw to represent my idea of home. I must have came up with around 20 lame ideas before i finally came up with an idea that i actually liked. Once i finally came up with the idea to draw the logos of all the professional sports teams of Houston such as, the Houston Texans, Houston Rockets, and the Houston Astros, I had a difficult time thinking of how i'd be able to combine all 3 symbols into one big symbol thus representing my home, Houston, Texas. I am most proud of this artwork because to me it truly represents where i am from and what i consider as home.

What 2 artworks show your growth as an artist?
The two artworks that we have done this year that show the most artistic growth from myself would have to be our pinchpot project and our home project. I chose these two because the pinchpot was the first artwork/project that i've ever had. It was the first time i was left on my own to think about my own artwork and to experiment with these new things to me. It was my first true experience to be an artist and to express myself as an artist. I chose to have my home artwork to show my growth because the multiple different symbols combined to make one big ultimate representation of my home show how far i've came along as an artist. It shows that i now have a creative mind and i no longer keep it basic with my drawings. I also worked pretty hard on both projects. I never really work hard and take my time like i did with these two projects. This is a first for me and I am proud to show off these two projects because they personally show a tremendous amount of personal progress.

New way of teaching:
I really enjoyed the method of teaching used this year by Mrs Barnett. She taught us the basics that we needed to know and then left us alone to do our own thing and figure out what we want to do, how to do it, and how much time we use to work on it. This teaching technique made us students in the class be more responsible for ourselves. I loved this way of teaching and i believe it was effective. I know it made me more responsible and it taught me a lot about time consumption. It taught me that if i use all the time given and take my time that my artwork will come out a thousand times better than they did when i would rush everything at the last second. I loved the feeling of freedom that was given to us as a class.
